there is no fee for any class, this has been case for last 6 years. I am not sure if it will stay that way (because we need to help masjid who offers the space free of charge) but for now ... they are free
You must do all homework and commit for 11 to 13 weeks. No Exceptions!
I encourage you NOT to register if you cannot provide this commitment
Homework is mostly sent out by email
All teachers teach free of charge and they are very committed. You will be graded and homework will be collected and returned
You cannot register for Quran 1 and other Quran classes until you finish Arabic 2 or if you can read arabic with level of comfort.

Arabic Level 1
Goal: By the end of the class, you should know all arabic letters, their sounds, shapes and be able to write them. you will know the short and long vowels as well as concepts of shaddah, sukoon and rules of long vowels.
Books Used: None, worksheets are provided in the class.

You need to know:
Nothing about arabic. As long as you are willing to try out new things, you are perfectly fine for this class.
You will learn:
- Introduction to Arabic Letters
- Introduction to Short Vowels
- Introduction to Long Vowels
- Joining the letters to make simple words
- Learning few letters each week
- Finally Being able to pronounce all letters, join them and understand the vowels
Arabic Level 2
Goal: By the end of the class, you should know all arabic letters, their sounds, shapes and be able to write them. you will know the short and long vowels as well as concepts of shaddah, sukoon and rules of long vowels.
Books Used: Arabic Reading and Writing Made easy, Help yourself reading Quran, book PDF.
You need to know:
- Most of the Arabic Letters
- Must understand Short Vowels and Long Vowels in arabic
- Joining the letters to make simple words
You will learn:
- Complex arabic words, reading and writing every week
- Reading sentenses and reading from Quran where applicable
- Writing arabic sentences and building vocabulary for Level 3 class
- Following rules will be covered
1 - Wow leen & Ya leen
2 - Role of Long vowels in general and with sukoon on them
3 - Tashkeelaat & Tanween
4 - Tashkeelaat & Long vowels alphabets in symobol forms
5 - omitting letter with sukoon if it comes before letter with shaddah. Sun & Moon letters
6 - Tashkeelat & Maddah of two kinds
7 - Noon Qutni, Iqlaab (little meem), seen/suad
8 - Long vowels alphabets next to each other
9 - Hamza tul Wasal, Ya read as Hamza, Ta Marbootah & Ha
10 - Presentation about Ramooz-o-Auqaaf (you will NOT be tested on these until Arabic 3)
Arabic Level 3 (Grammar Level 1)
Goal: By the end of the class, you will know the basic grammar rules to compose arabic sentences, your vocabulary will have about 30 most important words
Books Used: None, worksheets are provided in the class.

You should have:
- ability to read simple arabic sentences and words
- willingness to speak in public, shyness is OK
- have very minimal vocabulary
You will learn:
- Introduction to Arabic Grammar
- Introduction to Sentence Structure
- Making short sentences
- Learning the Nouns, Verbs and Prepositions
- Understanding demonstrative, relative & Interrogative Nouns
- Read Arabic sentences with some meaning. Translating as needed
- Finally, Build some vocabulary and recongnize parts of the sentences.
Arabic Level 4
Goal:Arabic sentence strucutre will be complete. Now we are ready to start listening and responding back as much as possible.
Books Used: Easy Arabic Grammar, Al-Mawrid (dictionary) from Jarir Bookstore or Dictionary from dar us salam
Additional resources: working with Verbs, AlMadinah Book 1
You need to know:
- Basic Arabic grammer about Prepositions, Nouns, Pronouns, demonstrative, relative & Interrogative Nouns, basic verbs
- fair amount of vocabulary (usually developed in arabic 3 and quran 1 classes)
- willingness to speak in public, shyness is OK
You will learn:
- Intermediate Arabic Grammar
- Verbs and Intermediate level of Sentence Structure
- 3 kinds of verbs and how to use them
- start conversing in arabic with limited vocabulary
- Learning the Nouns, Verbs and Prepositions in advanced context
- Translate difficult sentences with medium level of vocabulary
- Speak these sentences
- Genders and numbers are covered.
Arabic Level 5
Goal:Continue to read and understand more - getting into paragraphs. Speaking also takes place in terms of contexts.
Books Used: Big Grammar Chart, Easy Arabic Grammar, Al-Mawrid (dictionary) from Jarir Bookstore or Dictionary from dar us salam
Additional resources: Arabic Grammar made easy, Intermediate Arabic for Dummies, AlMadinah Book 1, working with Verbs
You need to know:
- Continue to build from where Arabic 4 stop. things will get more complex
- willingness to read/speak in public, shyness is OK
You will learn:
- more Arabic Grammar using Paragraphs of Intermediate level and its vocabulary
- Forms of the verbs and How to use them
- Plurals and patterns
- Learning the Nouns, Verbs and Prepositions in advanced context
- Translate paragraphs with medium level of vocabulary
- Read & Speak these paragraphs as needed for the contenxt
Arabic Level 6
Goal:Continue to read and understand more - getting into paragraphs. Speaking also takes place in terms of contexts.
Books Used: Arabic Grammar made easy, Al-Mawrid (dictionary) from Jarir Bookstore or Dictionary from dar us salam

Quran Level 1
Goal: By the end of the class, you will know the basic grammar rules to analyse arabic words and decompose as needed

- build minimal vocabulary in first 5 weeks of this class
You will learn:
- Introduction to Arabic Grammar

- Understanding demonstrative, relative & Interrogative Nouns
- Translate Surah Fatiha and Surah Kafiroon. Get started on Surah Baqarah
- Apply all rules learnt so far on ayaat and translate them under supervision of teachers.
Quran Level 2 & 3
Goal: By the end of the class, you will know the basic grammar rules to analyse arabic words and decompose as needed
Books Used: None, worksheets are provided in the class.

You should have:
- ability to read simple arabic sentences and words
- willingness to speak in public, shyness is OK
- have minimal vocabulary at the least - if u do not have it, it is usually built in first 5 weeks of this class
You will learn:
- Continue working on Surah Baqarah. uptil Ayah 50 is agenda for Quran 2 and uptil Ayah 100 is agenda for Quran 3
- Apply all rules learnt so far on ayaat and translate them under supervision of teachers.
